Drug and Alcohol Consortium
Drug and Alcohol Testing Consortiums are required under 49 CFR 382. Enrollment into a Drug and Alcohol consortium is required if a driver is operating a vehicle that requires a form of commercial driver’s license. This includes vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001lbs or greater, capable of carrying 16 or more passengers, or hauling Hazardous Materials requiring a placard.
We will contact the driver to obtain the information required to enroll them into the consortium. You will be emailed a certificate of enrollment and a workplace policy, along with instructions on when and where the pre-employment test must be taken. The driver is then enrolled into a random program for the following 12 months. You will be contacted anytime the driver has been selected for a random test according to FMCSA specifications.
Enrollment into the consortium includes all out of pocket testing expenses for the year including; pre-employment, random, and post-accident tests.
NOTICE: If this is your first time enrolling a driver with us under your USDOT number, you must select “First Driver” from the dropdown. “Second or More” will be selected when adding drivers to an existing consortium with MCSA.
