Connecticut Heavy Use Tax

The Connecticut Heavy Use Tax is required for carriers based in, or crossing into Connecticut operating with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 26,001 lbs or greater. Keep in mind this is based of your truck, trailer, and load capability - not active weight.

Upon checkout, you will be contacted by your assigned compliance agent who will confirm your order with you, and review any other regulations required for you to operate legally. Our legal department will complete the filing on your behalf. You will be sent an email requesting the information required for us to file. Once the information is received, we will complete the application and send it to the state’s department. You will also have a contact in the legal department that you can call directly for any questions or concerns.
