IRP Account Registration

The International Registration Plan (IRP) is required for all carriers operating Interstate with CDL-Required vehicles at 26,001 lbs GVWR or greater. Some carriers may be required to obtain an IRP registration or equivalent permits in some U.S. States, even if they are under 26,001 lbs GVWR.

The main purpose of the International Registration Plan is to promote interstate commerce. It encourages the fullest possible use of the highway system. It allows registered motor carriers to travel through all IRP member jurisdictions.

You will be contacted by your assigned compliance agent to confirm the details of your order, and then the legal department who sill send a request-for-information email, requesting the information necessary to complete the filing. Please remember, we cannot complete your IRP account registration without the necessary information. For that reason, the sooner you can provide the information, the sooner we can complete your registration.
